Download vCardCarolyn Davis has a wide range of experience in complex commercial litigation in both state and federal courts, with a particular focus on the defense of mass tort and product liability cases. She has experience in all stages of litigation, including trial preparedness, in matters involving claims of strict product liability, consumer fraud, nuisance, breach of contract, corporate veil piercing, and employee violations of restrictive covenants, among others. Her clients have included multinational companies across a variety of industries, including pharmaceutical and medical device, oil and gas, food and beverage, automotive, and consumer goods. Ms. Davis is also regularly involved in counseling clients and litigating matters within the firm’s risk transfer and insurance coverage group.
In addition, Ms. Davis has represented clients in several major chapter 11 bankruptcy cases involving extensive mass tort liabilities. She has also advised companies on product liability and other litigation-related liability issues stemming from proposed mergers, acquisitions, and investments, and has trained junior lawyers in conducting litigation due diligence for corporate transactions.
Prior to joining Littleton Joyce, Ms. Davis spent seven years at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP as a member of the firm’s Product Liability and Complex Commercial Litigation practice groups, where she also maintained an active pro bono practice and published frequently on a variety of topics such as product liability manufacturing and design defect issues, federal preemption of state law claims, complex jurisdictional matters, and application of the Daubert standard to expert testimony.
